Viewers and netizens are in for more of today’s hottest news, insightful information, human interest stories, and public service in GMA Public Affairs’ daily news magazine show “Dapat Alam Mo!,” hosted by Susan Enriquez and Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza, airing weekdays at 5:30 p.m. on GTV.

Since its launch in 2021, “Dapat Alam Mo!” has been part of the public’s afternoon viewing habit. It showcases not just the latest news but also informs and entertains viewers with its wide array of human interest stories. At the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards, Dapat Alam Mo! emerged as the National Winner in the Best Single News Story category for covering South Korea’s Itaewon Tragedy.

The show has likewise cemented its online presence. The program’s official Facebook page continues to grow, with more than 800,000 followers as of this writing. On TikTok, the show’s official handle now has 2.5M likes and over 150,000 followers.

Hosts Susan and Kuya Kim – fondly called SuKi – share their thoughts on the show’s success.

At [ito ay] very diverse, it’s not just a straight news show or infotainment show, it’s actually a magazine show. A lot of things are outside the box.

Debunking Fake News

Beyond news, trivia, features, and public service, “Dapat Alam Mo!” has also been the public’s ally against the proliferation of fake news.

Susan says the advent of gadgets and technology has also paved the way for misinformation and disinformation. “Dapat Alam Mo!” upholds the “Tatak Public Affairs” brand amid misinformation.

Kuya Kim can only agree to this. Meron po tayong desk dito, like any other news room. May mga editors tayo dito.”

“Waging wagi ang mas maraming alam!”

This July, viewers and netizens can only expect more from the show and hosts Susan and Kim are more than excited to share the good news to their loyal supporters.

Abangan n’yo po ‘yan,” he adds.
