GMA Network’s First Vice President and Head of Regional TV and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso was recently conferred a Command Plaque by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for his remarkable contribution to the AFP Health Service Command Transformation Roadmap (AFPHSCTR) Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB).

Amoroso was honored for “championing the Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command Transformation Roadmap towards a strong functional systems and processes of good governance and genuine transformation that successfully led to conferral of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Transformation Roadmap Institutionalization Pathway Proficient Status with Gold Governance Trailblazer Certification.”

In 2020, at the height of a global pandemic, Amoroso was selected as a distinct member of the Multi-Sector Advisory Board that provides expert advice in the implementation of the AFPHSCTR. He was appointed as its Committee Chairperson for Communications and Advocacy.

“I would like to thank the AFP Health Service Command, especially Brigadier General Edgar Cardinoza, for this recognition,” said Amoroso. “Aside from this being a confirmation that we are on the right track in our duties as members of the Multi-Sector Advisory Board, this also serves as an inspiration to do more for our country and support our modern-day heroes, the Filipino soldiers. I would also like to thank GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon as well as President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr., for allowing me to help the AFP HSC,” he added.

Amoroso received the Command Plaque from Brigadier General and Commander of the AFPHSC Edgar Cardinoza, PAF last December 3, 2021 at the AFP HSC Camp in V. Luna, Quezon City. Also present were Assistant Chief of Staff for Communication, Electronics and Information Systems LTC Ephraim Parangalan, PN; Chief of the Public Information Office LTC Jonathan Rico, MC (GSC); and Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence – H2 LTC Jomar Tocloy, PA.
