Andrea Brillantes, a homegrown Kapamilya actress and social media star, today renewed her exclusive ties with ABS-CBN and looked back at her colorful journey from her childhood years in an event dubbed “Keep Shining: The Andrea Brillantes Network Contract Signing.”

“Nagsimula ako dito sa ABS-CBN when I was seven po at naging pamilya ko na po kayo at inaalagaan niyo na ako sa kabataan ko pa lang. Ang saya lang sa pakiramdam na ngayon nag-eenter na ako sa adulthood at kayo pa rin po ang kasama ko,” said the former child star who has been a Kapamilya since 2010.

She described her growing years with ABS-CBN as a ‘privilege, home, and happy.’

“It’s a privilege for me na maging Kapamilya artist. Pangalawa, home kasi lahat po sila parang tatay at nanay, parang pamilya magmahal, mag-alaga, at tingnan ka bilang tao. Pangatlo, masaya maging Kapamilya kasi buo kaming pamilya,” she shared.

Present at the contract signing event were ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN COO for broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN head of TV production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and Star Magic handler Gidget dela Cuesta.

When asked what made her stay in the Kapamilya network, Andrea emphasized how ABS-CBN never gave her a reason to leave.

“Nandito rin lahat ng kaibigan at pamilya ko at talagang lumaki na ako rito. Kumbaga kasal na ko sa kanila kaya bakit ko sila hihiwalayan at excited po ako sa binibigay nilang projects sa akin,” Andrea said.

The Star Magic artist began her formative years as one of the child stars of the gag show “Goin’ Bulilit.” She went on to become a household name in Philippine teleseryes with hit shows “Annaliza,” “Hawak Kamay,” “Huwag Kang Mangamba,” and “Kadenang Ginto” under her belt.

Andrea also continues to break boundaries with her starring role as a drag queen in the iWantTFC original series “Drag You and Me” which premiered its finale last week. Now, she is set to showcase a new side of her in the upcoming Dreamscape series “Senior High.”
