Some real talk with the cast of Madame Web. Watch the new featurette, âGrounded in Reality,â where the cast of Madame Web, led by Dakota Johnson as the titular character, talk about what makes their film different from other superhero movies.
âMadame Web is unlike any other Marvel movie,â says Johnson. The film, the first superhero movie with a female lead in Sonyâs Spider-Man Universe, tells the standalone origin story of Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destiniesâif they can all survive a deadly present.
âItâs more of a suspenseful thriller, which is unique from anything youâve seen in a superhero movie,â says Sydney Sweeney, who plays Julia Cornwall.

Isabela Merced, who portrays Anya CorazĂłn, says, âItâs got psychologically mind-bending scenarios that youâre just going to be stumped on.â
âItâs genuinely refreshing to see a superhero movie thatâs really different,â shares Celeste OâConnor, who plays Mattie Franklin.
