From being a known theatrical actor to a movie star, Irish actor Michael Gambon has really made history within the entertainment industry since the 1960s.

With his announced passing away at the age of 82, Gambon has left a history within the cinema world, noting his presence in different movies.

Remembering his legendary roles, here are some movies that Gambon participated in during his entertainment career.

1. Harry Potter

Known as Albus Dumbledore, the Harry Potter series was one of the longest film series that Gambon has participated in.

During his career, the actor was able to play his role as Dumbledore in more than five series, and over a long period of time, this was his most popular character to play.

The first appearance of Gambon in the Harry Potter series was when he replaced Richard Harris in the Harry Potter saga after his death in 2002.

Gambon played the role of Arthur, as he replaced Michael Caine. The actor was visible during the secret meetings of the secret agents in the movie, noting that his character is considered to be one of the leaders of the Secret Service company.

3. Paddington

Besides having exposure to real-life action and fantasy movies, Gambon also gave life to animated characters, such as in Paddington.

For this animated film series, Gambon became the voice actor of Uncle Pastuzo, who is the husband of Aunt Lucy and one of the elder bears of the main character, Paddington.

Paddington is a series showing the life of a bear that tried to live in a city to sustain his needs in daily life after their natural habitat was consumed by a fire, leaving them to transfer homes.

4. Fantastic Mr. Fox

Other than Paddington, Gambon also brought into life another animated character in “Fantastic Mr. Fox,” a 2009 film, as he voiced the character of the Scoundrel, one of the hunters in the movie.

As commented by some netizens, Gambon has shown exceptional performances in both real-life movies and animated characters, which made him notable as an actor during his career.

The storyline of the comedy and adventure movie “Fantastic Mr. Fox” was based on the book written by Ronald Dahl, which presents the story of a fox who wants to save his family from hunters.
