Media giant GMA Network, in pursuit of reaching every Filipino household, now has 95 TV stations all over the country to further widen its reach and provide quality viewing experience for Filipinos.
Comprised of analog and digital TV broadcast stations strategically placed in key areas nationwide, GMA’s latest digital upgrades include two additional stations in Legazpi and Zamboanga.
“We are much grateful to our Kapuso for making us the number one and the largest broadcast network with the widest reach. As our way of giving back for their unceasing support, we are determined to reach the entire population of Filipino households while continuously improving the quality of our digital broadcast. These efforts will complement our world-class entertainment and credible news content,” assured GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon.
GMA Network’s combined net reach is currently at 95.3 percent people in TV homes or 77.5 million viewers in Total Philippines per Nielsen’s TV Audience Measurement data from January to October 2022.
The Kapuso Network is set to unveil more digital TV stations that will further expand the Network’s coverage including its supplemental channels GTV, I Heart Movies, Heart of Asia, and Hallypop.
On radio, GMA’s flagship AM and FM stations likewise remain unmatched in Mega Manila according to Nielsen’s latest Radio Audience Measurement data for October 2022.
Super Radyo DZBB recorded an audience share of 36.6 percent, which bested its nearest competitor, DZRH, with 30.3 percent. Its FM counterpart, Barangay LS 97.1, got a whopping 40.2 percent, which was way ahead of its rival, DZMB, with only 12.9 percent.
Meanwhile, adding to the Network’s unparalleled on-air strength is its online dominance that reaches Filipinos beyond television.
With stats as of October 2022, GMA Network’s official Facebook page has already amassed 22.49 million likes. According to CrowdTangle, it led ABS-CBN by over half a million.
Data from Tubular Labs during the same period also indicated that GMA’s Facebook video views were at 378.68 million while ABS-CBN only had 243.39 million. Facebook engagements were respectively at 10.24 million versus 9.18 million, still in favor of GMA.
Similarly, GMA’s official TikTok account now has 1.75 million followers which was ahead of ABS-CBN’s 1.64 million based on Tokcount.com.
As the country also continues its shift from analog to digital transmission, GMA enables more Kapuso viewers to access a clearer and more vibrant TV viewing experience through its digital receivers GMA Affordabox and GMA Now.
