Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona Jr. on Thursday welcomed Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Frederick Go as member of the Monetary Board (MB).<\/p>\n
In a news press release, the BSP said Go serves as the Cabinet Representative to the MB, central bank’s highest policy-making body chaired by the BSP Governor.<\/p>\n
This was after President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. appointed Go as DOF chief in November 2025 replacing Ralph Recto, who is now Executive Secretary.<\/p>\n
Go, in a statement, said he is honored to be part of the MB and thanked Marcos for his continued trust and confidence.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will pursue the strategic alignment of fiscal and monetary policies in support of the Board\u2019s mandate to maintain price stability and safeguard our financial system. I look forward to working with my fellow Monetary Board members in building an economy that is resilient, robust, and inclusive to every Filipino,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
