{"id":227834,"date":"2022-10-13T13:29:01","date_gmt":"2022-10-13T05:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wonderful-indigo-elk.62-72-47-242.cpanel.site\/?p=227834"},"modified":"2022-10-13T14:01:01","modified_gmt":"2022-10-13T06:01:01","slug":"barmm-police-gets-5-brand-new-patrol-cars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uptownmanila.com\/?p=227834","title":{"rendered":"BARMM Police Gets 5 Brand-New Patrol Cars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) turned over Wednesday five units of brand-new patrol cars worth PHP12.5 million to the Police Regional Office (PRO) to strengthen law enforcement operations across the region.<\/p>\n<p>The police cars were procured by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG-BARMM), headed by Minister Naguib Sinarimbo, and formed part of the logistical assistance of the regional government to PRO-BARMM.<\/p>\n<p>The MILG also built several municipal police station buildings in the region, while funding the construction of a new administration building inside the PRO-BARMM headquarters in Camp S.K, Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe turnover is also a manifestation of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim&#8217;s strong commitment to supporting the police, as he pointed out that stable peace and security will lead to a more sustainable development,&#8221; Sinarimbo, a lawyer, said.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed between Sinarimbo and PRO-BARMM Director Brig. Gen. John G. Guyguyon, three of the patrol cars will go to the PRO- BARMM, and one each for the police\u2019s 1404th Regional Mobile Force Company and Cotabato City Police Office.<\/p>\n<p>The MOA stated that the patrol cars shall be used by the PRO-BARMM in their law enforcement operations, which is in line with the MILG&#8217;s function to implement plans, programs, and projects to promote public order and safety and disaster preparedness.
